Where Microsoft will open its next 75 stores

Microsoft said Wednesday morning that it plans to open 75 new retail stores in the next 2 to 3 years, in addition to the 11 stores it already has.

The company will also open international stores outside the US.

Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner announced the plans in his keynote speech at the company's Worldwide Partners Conference in Los Angeles.

"We're going to open up to 75 more stores in the next 2-3 years and continue to bring our stores outside the US as well," Turner said.

Locally, Microsoft has a store at Bellevue Square mall and is building a new one at University Village in Seattle. Here is a list of all the current Microsoft store locations.

Here is a map of where the new Microsoft stores will be built in the US. It's a screenshot of a slide shown during the webcast of Turner's speech.
