The chairman of Microsoft India, Ravi Venkatesan, is stepping down. Venkatesan had served in the position for seven years. He was responsible for marketing, operations and business development in India.
Microsoft declined to provide other information about why Venkatesan is leaving, but the Wall Street Journal reported that he said it was time to move on.
Venkatesan joined Microsoft from Cummins, a U.S.-based maker of engines.
