Resistance 3 Coming Sept. 6, 2011

Good news, Resistance fans: you only have to wait nine more months for Resistance 3. Along with a new trailer revealed during the Spike TV VGAs, Insomniac's third entry in the shooter franchise was also dated for September 6, 2011.

Other than that, most of what was shown on the game is what we already know -- it takes place in an alternate reality 1950s, with America having fallen to the Chimera. This makes for a brutal existence for the remaining survivors -- including main character Joseph Capelli -- with enemies including both Chimera and "the remnants of humanity," including "hungry cannibals."
