Final Fantasy VI Hits Japanese PSN Next Week

Final Fantasy VI

Final Fantasy VI, one of the most beloved games in the Final Fantasy series, is headed to the Japanese PlayStation Network in less than a week.

FFVI was originally a Super Nintendo game released in 1994. As it was only the third FF game to be released in North America, it was known as Final Fantasy III here before regaining its proper name in subsequent releases. Those included a PlayStation 1 port in 1999 as a part of Final Fantasy Anthology.

It'll presumably be that version that is released on the PlayStation Store in Japan on April 20, as was revealed by the Japanese Square Enix Members Twitter account. Several videos of the game were also posted in case you've forgotten what the game looks like.
