It would be a bit unusual and potentially confusing to have two types of controllers available for Nintendo's new console. It's the potential price, though, that seems to be the most surprising aspect of the newest batch of rumors. Being the cheapest console certainly wasn't the primary reason for the Wii becoming the best-selling system this generation. However, there's no denying that it helped Nintendo's case by being relatively affordable from the get-go. The 3DS costs more than many expected so maybe a $350 or $400 Nintendo console isn't impossible. From what we've heard it will have a one-to-two-year head-start on the competition, so that high price tag might not be as detrimental as it otherwise would be.
